The New Year is the perfect time to set new goals for your health, and strength should be one of them.
So I am excited to announce that we have a new location:
St. Georges United Church – multi purpose room – 505, 6th street, Courtenay, BC
We also have a revised schedule:
Tuesdays – 9:15 am *new time
Wednesdays – 1:30 pm *new time
Thursdays – 9:15 am
Fridays – 9:15 am
This all begins on January 6th, 2026.
Why do we need to strength train?
Strength training isn’t about getting bikini body, it’s about improving your bone density, support balance, make every day movements easier, prevent sarcopenia (muscle loss as we age) build confidence and energy. Strength training can also support us through peri-menopause and strengthen our joints – no more knee or hip pain – yippee.
Why choose my classes?
Every class is 60 minutes and it includes a mobility warm up – full body strength training – 5 minute cool down to support your muscles in recovery. I will teach you how to execute every exercise, check your form and give you tips on weight size. We make it fun but effective. So you don’t need to think about anything, I have you fully covered.
Why my classes work?
We use free weights (dumbbells, kettlebells), resistance bands, mini loops, sliders (to increase the intensity- if you want), swiss balls for stability and core, sometimes I even bring out agility ladders or battleropes; to work on our conditioning and strength. I encourage you to go a little heavier if I see you can handle it, or I encourage you to go lighter if your form is suffering (form before heavier weights).
I insist you take my class to feel stronger, more capable and confident!
Strength training isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about supporting the body you have!!
See you on the mat
